Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s mansion in Bandra in Mumbai was attacked early on Friday morning at around 4:30 am.

Two to three unidentified miscreants threw a bottle containing an inflammable substance at the Khan’s sea-facing house called Mannat.

"The security men at the ‘Mannat’ had chased the miscreants but in vain," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Niket kaushik.

The bottle was a kind of crude bomb. The miscreants later fled from the spot, however, nobody was reportedly hurt. Police are investigating the incident and an FIR has been lodged.

When the incident occured, Shah Rukh was not in the house and nobody has sustained any injuries, he said adding that a complaint has been registered and further investigation is on in the matter. (With PTI inputs)

Shahrukh Khan has dropped the word ‘Barber’ from the title of his next release, Billu Barber. Now his film is simply called Billu. The President of the Salon and Beauty Parlors Association, Uday Takke, said they found the word ‘barber’ objectionable and they wanted it to be changed to hairdresser.

On Saturday evening, Takke met Shahrukh at Mannat. He says, "We explained to him that barber refers to a caste like ‘nai’ or ‘hajaam’. We are not barbers by caste. Shahrukh understood our problem." Shahrukh says, "When they met me they were very emotional. I didn’t know that the word is a caste. I didn’t want to hurt their feelings so I removed the word."

The ever entertaining Shahrukh Khan was in the capital to promote a leading time wear brand. But SRK started the proceedings by taking a jab at “good friend” Aamir Khan. “I can take my shirt off for you but I don’t have anything written on my chest like Aamir. You know we don’t need to write things on our chests to sell watches here. We do it just like that,” says Shah Rukh. When asked why SRK had to make a habit pick of picking on Aamir at almost every public event, a genuinely upset Shahrukh replied saying that he doesn’t pick on him.

“I don’t pick on him. It is a joke and it is suppose to continue but you guys (media) make it big. But, yes I don’t like some of the things that he and other people have said and I am serious about that. I will have a chat with him but I won’t tell you what it is I will pick on him in person,” adds Shahrukh.

Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan held a lavish party at the Billion Dollar hotel in Dubai over the weekend.

Says a source, "After the launch party of Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai, hosted by international hotelier, Sol Kerzner (Chairman- Kerzner International) and Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem,  SRK and Gauri hosted a party at their Atlantis Bridge Suite (costs £14,000 a night)."

The source adds, "At the after-launch party, SRK and Gauri played host to some of Hollywood’s biggest names like Robert De Niro, Gerard Butler, Mischa Barton, Mary-Kate Olsen, Kylie Minogue, Charlize Theron, Lindsay Lohan, Wesley Snipes, tycoon Richard Branson and some of SRK’s close friends from B-Town like Hrithik and Sussanne Roshan, Arjun and Mehr Rampal and Farhan Akhtar. The rocking party went on till the wee hours of the morning."

Says Shah Rukh, "Yes we finished at 7 am and had a great time. I feel that I had to take care of the guests because Sultan (Ahmed Bin Sulayem), the owner of Nakheel Atlantis treats me with much love and goodness. I personally invited all the guests. Sultan gave me my house here on The Palms."

When asked if he had a chance to speak to Robert De Niro on cinema, Shah Rukh says, "No, we couldn’t speak with De Niro about cinema because Hrithik, Farhan and I just couldn’t stop smiling and behaving like mad fans but we had great conversations with the other actors, Wesley Snipes, Gerard Butler,  Lindsay Lohan and singer Kylie Minogue. All of them were so sweet, loving and cool. The Sultan was with his other guests. There were hundreds of people."

Other celebs including supermodels Agyness Deyn, Petra Nemcova and Yasmin Le Bon, musicans Janet Jackson, Lily Allen and Shirley Bassey, sports legends like Michael Jordan and Boris Becker were present.
